Benfica's Little Maradona

Benfica has announced that the Club and Leo have reached an agreement to rescind the player's contract. As you may know, Leo has been away from the team in Brazil, rightfully authorized, to follow his parent's deteriorating health conditions.
There had been rumors of Leo wanting to stay in Brazil to remain close to his parents, and today those rumors were confirmed with this announcement.
The player was in Lisbon today, and publicly thanked Rui Costa and Luis Felipe Vieira for allowing him to continue his career close to his ailing parents.
Leo was perhaps one of Benfica's best left backs of the past decade. His attitude, professionalism, and contributions to the team, will be dearly missed.
