North American Tour Roster Announced

Benfica will travel to the North American continent for a couple of exhibition games this very month. On the 20th of May, Benfica will face the New England Revolution in Foxboro MA, and will then cross the border into Toronto, where they will play Panathinaikos 3 days later.

Here is the roster that will be making the trip across the Atlantic:

Keepers: Moreira and Júlio César;

Defenders: Luís Filipe, David Luiz, Sidnei, Fábio Faria and César Peixoto;

Midfielders: Airton, Javi Garcia, Felipe Menezes, David Simão, Leandro Pimenta, Ruben Amorim and Pablo Aimar;

Forwards: Nuno Gomes, Kardec, Éder Luís, Weldon e Saviola.

The biggest surprise of this list is the inclusion of new boy Fabio Faria, along with 2 players who are part of Benfica but were not part of the main roster(David Simao(on loan to Fatima and Leandro Pimenta who was on loan at Beira-Mar)

Surely an opportunity to see our Champions up close.
