Rui Costa confirmed that Fabio Coentrao and Lazlo Sepsi are the only 2 loaned out players to be part of pre-season. No word on Freddy Adu, but by the looks of it, Freddy is either on the way out on another loan or quite possibly on a definite sell.

From what I hear, Adu is in America visiting family. He'll be back at Benfica in two weeks or less.
Yes, I've been following his tweets and he does write he will be in Lisbon in two weeks.
But If you take a quick look through all the players for the forward position - Cardozo, Saviola, Nuno Gomes, Mantorras, and possibly another forward on the way, it's easy to see that Freddy has very limited room to make the team.
Cardozo has been the team's top scorer for the past two season, Nuno Gomes just renewed his contract,Mantorras is not going anywhere, plus you add DiMaria, Urreta and Coentrao, and Ramires into the mix, and you can see that's a very crowded bunch. I hope not. i'd really like to see Freddy flourish, but after his inconsequent loan period, the outlook is not too bright for Freddy, nevertheless, IF he gets a fair look, Jesus might match him to a role, that is the only way i see him staying in Lisbon this year. It's a shame, i really thought he could have fit quite nicely in last years squad, certainly things would have been looking a lot better for him at this time, had he stayed in Portugal.
