First Anniversary

Today marks Talking To The Doll's first anniversary. It seems just yesterday I was starting up this blog.

It all started as something for myself, a way to channel opinions, frustrations and triumphs on Benfica. The name itself - "Talking to the Doll", comes from a Portuguese expression ( Falar para o boneco) which is often used when you are saying something, and no one is listening.
As you can tell by the name of the blog, I never really set out expecting any type of a serious readership, but a year later I have been fortunate enough to have had visitors from all over the world - US, Canada, Australia, Sweden, UK, France, Switzerland, Russia, and Vietnam, are some of the countries where the usual visitors hail from.

I hope i have been able to bring you insight and information in this short year of life.
I know that there are a lot of Benfica supporters out there that have difficulty in reading Portuguese, so I hope this blog has brought them Benfica in a way they can understand.

The blog itself went from being a past time to a serious hobby, I'm constantly thinking of new ways to make the blog better, and more appealing and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Proof of that is the new layout that was introduced right before the new season started.
If there's anything you'd like to see on this blog, make yourself heard in the comment box.

Many thanks to all the readers of Talking to the Doll, and all of the friends of the blog.

Here's to you, and hoping that the coming year brings me the same, if not more, satisfaction of writing for all read this blog

Cheers

Fuma
