Benfica's second acquisition for the 08/09 season is Ruben Amorim. The 23rd year old joins Benfica from Belenenses, after 7 years, as Amorim was part of Benfica's youth squads at the age of 16, but was cut by Benfica at the time. Ruben plays in the midfield, preferably in the right side, he has also played right back for Belenenses this season.

Cool! Now Adu will have some company on the bench. I keep trying to find some news on his status, but it's like he never landed in Lisbon. Is he playing in Cuba somewhere? Mongolia? Freddy! Call home!
Freddy is making the trip to Porto for tomorrow's game, apparently he has also been the witness to a an incident that just took place. Benfica supporters who waited for the team bus to leave their training complex manifested their displeasure towards the teams recent failures and insulted the players on the way out.
Another first for Freddy.
Did the Coach make it out alive? Wonder if Adu will play this time.
Finally! Freddy Adu was called for the game against Porto! Still, that doesn't mean that he will actually play but at least he was called. It's about time!
Now, if you'll excuse me, i'm going to get my "beauty sleep" for tomorrow's game.
