Today's "A Bola" reports that Leo is going back to the table with Benfica in hopes of reaching some kind of an agreement to stay with Benfica. The lenght of the extension is a reported 1 year with an optional second year.
After Rui Costa telling the press that Benfica hadn't decided on Leo's future, a comment he made right after the Sporting game, and then again following the Getafe game in which he told the media that Benfica would do everything possible to keep Leo, these reports surface.
Leo's extension should be one of the priorities for the upcoming season. Unquestionable starter, consummate professional, and the spirit and fight that are at the club's image, makes Leo an indispensable player for next season. I think the optional second year is the right move, off course that option will mean more money for the first year, and this is where Benfica and Leo will have to reach an agreement.
