News Briefs
Makukula trained with the Benfica squad for the first time this morning, despite most of the team being indoors doing conditioning work, Makukula and four others jogged on the practice pitch.
Also present in that group of 5 was Bergessio, who after a month of trying to find a team returns to Benfica. Bergessio will not be back in Camacho's plans or lack thereof.
Benfica has signed another youngster, Nigeria's u-20 Ugo Akuchie. The 18 year old center forward, will be at the club's headquarters today to sign a contract that will bind him to benfica until 2012. Akuchie's destiny will most likely be the junior team, but will probably be part of some of the practices by the senior squad, as Camacho will like to observe him.
Rafik Halliche has been loaned to Nacional until the end of the season. He joins Fabio Coentrao in the Madeira Island.
Also going on loan is the Junior Ruben Lima. The 18 year old left back had been called up by Camacho for the last 2 games due to Leo's injury. Obviously Camacho feels this player needs more of a competitive atmosphere to develop, so he has been loaned out to Desportivo das Aves. He joins Romeu Ribeiro, Yu Dabao and Miguel Victor at Desportivo das Aves.

So Makukula can play for us this season?
Yeah, but he can't play this weekend, as the club did not sign him in time for this weekend.
