Frank Cunha

I'd like to take this opportunity to personally thank Frank Cunha for the visibility he has brought this Blog. Besides being a friend from way back, Frank has devoted an enormous amount of time working with youngsters through soccer.
When I first met Frank, Frank used to run the soccer program at Boys and Girls club in the Ironbound section of Newark, one of the largest Portuguese-American comunities in the US. Having just arrived in the US, and feeling out of place, the Ironbound Boys club was a place that was a little piece of home away from home, a place where i could go play the sport that i love, a place where i made life long friends. Like me, there are individuals in the New Jersey Portuguese-American community that came up playing soccer in the Ironbound Boys Club in Newark. A place that has a special place in my heart for the memories it has given me and the people that i met throughout that time, Frank was one of them. Currently, Frank is a moderator at a Benfica Forum that lives at talksoccer.com. In this forum you can find a lot of Benfica information from the cycling team to the men's team, it is a source for endless information, much like its moderator, Frank. Frank also "feeds" information to the portuguese Women's National Team coach about young talented Portuguese-American athletes doing well in their collegiate teams.
Thank You Frank
